Rambutan

It's rambutan season!

After I said something to the kids about eating "eyeballs", Sarah politely passed on any more rambutan. But the other three scarfed them down until the pile was gone. Guess we need to get some more next time we go to market.

Delicious!

Oh I love rambutan!!!! We used to get these when I lived in the Philippines when they were in season and I could eat them all day! I haven't had them in years!!!!
Enjoy friends!

They look very much like lychees. Are they related?

Blessings!

Looks like a big, hairy grape!

Is there a pit or seeds?

Deborah - they are related to lychees.

Julie - there is a nice big seed in the middle. It's easy to such the juicy stuff off and discard the seed (unless you are three).
