Dorm Dedication

Yesterday was an exciting day for SITAG. We held a ribbon cutting ceremony and dedicated the new dorm. Our two big girls were asked to place flowers around the necks of the two distinguished guests. The girls presented their flowers so quickly!
Archbishop Vunagi and an Wycliffe Associates (WA) executive cut the ribbon to officially open the new building which will eventually serve as a women's dorm downstairs and apartments for village teams upstairs.
Joshua Lui (president of SITBLP), Archbishop Vunagi, WA exec, and SITAG director chat over a yummy lunch.

The next building (housing offices, men's dorm, and training facilities) already underway next door! Thank you for your prayers and encouragement as one building is complete and another has begun.

Hi,
I am a student in linguistic in New Zealand and trying contact anyone from SITAG who might know Aloisous Jack. It seems he has work on the Lau language from Malaita, a language I am currently working on. I am planning to come to Honiara mid-May and would love to meet you and know more about the work you are doing. I will also need some advises for coming to the islands. If you could give me a more private link, I could explain you a bit more the situation.
God bless you and the work you are doing. Giordana

The new dorm looks beautiful. Those shiny hardwood floors! And ALL the men in barefeet. It's so interesting to see the customs in another country!

Blessings!

Deborah,
We are barefoot more often than not here. Slipping off your shoes before you enter a building helps keep the dirt outside. When we're in Marulaon, no one even wears shoes to church!

You ought to consider bringing your sweet family to the Solomons and see for yourselves :-)
